Such a fast and beautiful birth I attended as a doula, photographer, and videographer last Saturday night.
We came to the hospital at 2 am with 3cm dilation, and the baby girl arrived at 5:17 am :)
All of this happened from triage to the room, with no epidural, just a lot of movements and exercises. We non-stop did controlled breathing, movements, and changed positions. Aliona progressed from 3 till 6 in 2 hrs and from 6 till 10 and birth in 50 minutes. That’s a cool story!!!
We had a deal with the doctor to focus for 3 hours and if we wont have any progress - they will start interventions.
I helped as doula till the moment of the birth. At the moment of the baby’s arrival and two hrs postpartum, I grabbed my camera, and I started to photograph and capture the video. I have over 100 gb of footage.
I am so thankful to the birth team for such a wonderful opportunity and support during the birth. The nurses and doctors in NYU Brooklyn were so supportive and caring. They helped us and gave us space and hope ❤️
