Frequently Asked Questions about Birth photography

Why should I have a Birth photographer?

You can give a birth to your baby ones! And it’s a couple of seconds to capture the moment of delivery. It’s definitly worth to do it! I had birth photographers with both of my kids and it’s one of the best thing ever to do!

Is photography allowed where I will give Birth ?

Every place has their rules about visitors and what they can and cann’t to do. We will work within these guidelines.  For example, some of the hospitals only allow the partner and a doula, who should prove her education by certificate. I have a Dona International Doula certificate and always willing to help with figuring out the best strategy.

I have a question that’s not answered here!

Great! We love answering new questions. Head over to the contact page and ask away!

What should I know about YourCherish?

The word cherish means a lot for me, when I think about my husband, we use it a lot to describe moments of our early dates and days, when everything started. Now we have a family and two kids and YourCherish for me feels as my third child. I want all my clients to feel that everything here is about passion, support and love to them and their choices. Our philosophy is: “Appreciate the beauty and strength in every person”.  Built by mother for every parent and we place a high value on this.

When should I tell you that the birth started?

Keep me updated with any changes you have.  Call or text when you think it’s time!

How will I look during labor?

Natural, beautiful, with all the best angles. We will discuss everything you want to be captured prior.   The new person will come to the world and you become a parent.

Tell me about coronavirus precautions.

That’s really important to do right. Whether you are giving birth in a hospital or a birthing center, during on-call time I am doing PCR test every 72 hours as an addition to all other protections.

What about crowning images?

We will discuss a possible list of shots you want me to take. I respect your birth space and what you wish.

What happens in the case of a C-section?

Every Birth is unique. We will talk beforehand and plan for what you want me to do in every scenario.  If an extra person is allowed in the surgery room and you want me to join you, I will be there for you.
